Within the STANLIB economics team, there is a dedicated “Africa” resource. Economic trends with regard to GDP growth, inflation, employment, trade, government finances and, in some countries, retail sales and consumer confidence indicators, are provided to the Africa team on a regular basis to assist the team with decision making.
Xhanti Payi, Assistant Economist, holds a BCom in Economics and Finance (University of Cape Town) and Post Graduate Diploma in Economic Policy (University of London). He joined STANLIB in 2010 from Investec Private Bank, and his time is dedicated to emerging market research.
